Vale da Estrela Dairy started exporting Vale da Estrela PDO cheeses to Saudi Arabia this week.

A few hundred units have already been shipped to Riyadh.

This initiative is the result of a partnership between Vale da Estrela and Confeitaria Nacional  that has a restaurant in Saudi Arabia.

As you can see in the image, the labels are Arabic and the entire process was meticulously prepared, including Halal certificates, considering cultural and religious diversity and the demands of the local market.

With Saudi Arabia, Vale da Estrela Dairy expands the export of its products beyond Europe.

The first initiative to place Vale da Estrela PDO cheeses on the foreign market was in the region of Madrid, through El Corte Inglés, following export to London where you may also fin our Cottage Cheese.
