VALE DA ESTRELA COTTAGE CHEESE PIE

Dough for the pie:

250g of wheat flour

130g of margarine

1 egg

2 tablespoons of water

Knead everything and when it is in a ball, it is put to rest for two hours, covered with a cloth.

 

Cottage cheese filling:

5 eggs

250 g of sugar

2 Vale da Estrela Cottage cheeses

2 dessert spoons of corn flour

Place the cottage cheeses in a bowl and mash them with a fork.

Add the sugar and eggs, beating well.

Finally, the flour, previously broken up, is added to a little of this mixture.

 

 

 

Preparation:

Roll out the dough and line a tart pan, which should be about 23.5 cm in diameter.

Place the cheese filling inside.

Bake in a medium oven for about 45 minutes.
