PRODUCTION RESTARTS ON THE 4TH OF OCTOBER

As in the case of various products of excellence which are produced for a limited period of time, the true Serra Estrela PDO Cheese is produced only during the lambing season, from October to June; through these months we obtain the milk from the bordaleira or Serra da Estrela ewes, which feed exclusively in the pastures of this demarcated region.

Thus, Vale da Estrela Dairy will soon start the production of Vale da Estrela PDO Cheese and Curd Cheese.
