POSITIVE GRADE FOR THE VALE DA ESTRELA CHEESES

This weekend, a tasting session of cottage cheese and Vale da Estrela PDO cheese was held, with an extremely positive reception.

There was a lot of praise for the quality of the cheese, with people expressing their liking for the taste of Serra da Estrela cheese, from Vale da Estrela Dairy.

One of the positive references came from the knowledge that cheese consisted of only three products: raw milk, thistle flower and salt. For some it was confirmation of registration as a DOP cheese, but for many it was a novelty and a reason for praise because they realized, as they pointed out, the absence of chemicals or industrial processing.

The tasting sessions took place on Saturday and Sunday at Continentes of Colombo, in Lisbon, Cascais, Oeiras and Matosinhos.
