The first slice.

Easter is near. And with it come the remembrance of the old days.

The family all reunited. The longing for the places we will never forget. The big living-room. The buzz of conversations. Smiles that greet us. The sun coming through the windows. Children playing. It is Sunday, and the lunch is almost ready. The same table. The hand embroidered linen tablecloth. At the middle of it, the cheese. Yes, Serra da Estrela Cheese, always. A yellow landscape: we never forget.

Memories that are felt and shared. B, the first letter of buttered. The ritual of the first slice that no one wants to cut. The greased knife is the accomplice of the sweet Regueifa or the Pão de Ló.

Easter is upon us. Before longing notices, cut the first slice of cheese. Chew the time of the happy days. And everything is going to be alright.

We hope that next year we will be able to relive these memories with all our family.
