After all the limitations due to the pandemic, Vale da Estrela Dairy, in Mangualde, reopens to visits, and welcomes you from 9 am to 1 pm., and from 2pm to 5 pm, from Monday to Saturdays.
Vale da Estrela is associated with the training of future cheesemakers within the scope of the Program for the Valorisation of the Cheese Range of Portugal Central Region.
The creation of Queijaria Vale da Estrela was an example of returning to one's origins, of love for the land and its people, in returning to the community where it was born.
From the beginning of the project, Vale da Estrela had, in a genuine and committed way, the mission of ensuring the dignity of the work of each milk producer.
